NanoSIDPlay V0.2B

NanoSID SID-engine by LolOLOlo (Laurent Ovaert)

To make it short: This program comes without ANY kind of warranty!
Even if it shouldn't harm anything or anyone, I DO NOT take
responsibility for it.

What is NanoSIDPlay!?
----------------------
NanoSIDPlay is a new SID-player using Laurent's new SID-engine
NanoSID. NanoSID differs from many other SID-players in the way
that it cannot play standard SID-files, but its own format
called zsid (Zipped SID). This format has both advantages and
disadvantages. Some of the advantages is that it allows for
easier and less resource-consuming emulation of filtereffects.
The length of the tunes can also be extracted as it is stored
in the zsid-file.

The engine is VERY fast and can run in realtime on a 386 computer
according to Laurent himself. Laurent is also the author of the
quite known LittleSID which also has been known for being very
good on filter-emulation.

Bugreports:
------------
This program is the first public release of NanoSIDPlay, and is
most likely containing a lot of bugs. It is also my first ever
Windows Application, which wouldn't really make it less bugfree ;)
When you find a bug, I'd appreciate a mail with following info:

What OS are you running (including any SPs you may have installed)
What CPU
What soundcard
What DirectX-version
What did you do to make it crash? Can you reproduce the crash?

I'm also aware of some memoryleaks, but this seems to be a problem
with the library itself, so I'll have to talk to Laurent about this.

The design is not in any way final, and will change during the next
releases until I find something that looks good and does its job.
Features like playlist, filebrowser, etc. will come.

Have fun with this.

HISTORY:

V0.1b (01-dec-2002)

- First official release.

V0.2b (05-dec-2002)

- New NanoSIDPlay engine. Memoryleaks drastically reduced.
- Crashing when changing screens bug removed.
- Made an attempt to remove the bug causing the program to fail
to exit. Don't know if this work yet since I never had the
  problem on my own machine.

Known bugs:

- May crash upon loading non zsid-files. Not really my fault! There
should be a workaround, but it's not really a high priority.
